Apple Sauce
Apple Sauce, the perfect accompaniment to Roast Pork
Ingredients
- 5 Granny Smith apples
- Finely grated rind of half a lemon
- 15g butter
- 1 tsp Caster sugar
- 50ml water
Instructions
- Pour the water into a heavy based pan.
- Peel and core apples and cut into small pieces, all roughly the same size
- Add apples and lemon rind to water and cook on a medium heat until apple is soft and mushy
- Add butter and sugar and mix thoroughly with a fork
- Leave to cool
